These are amazing and the story behind the acquisition of each of them is remarkable on their own I am sure.

Can't wait to hear some of these stories as well so we can get to know even more about you and the life you gave up for our country and others!

Love and Hugs ~ Kat

Wow - I am going to have my husband take a look at all these medals! So impressive.

Blessings on you my sisters. Unfortunately, while I was serving our country, I was not serving my God for most of that time. But He loved and protected me anyway. I could tell the stories without using "sailor words." But the tales would only serve to show how lost I was, and how Great God's forgiveness extends.
I will pray about this and let you know here.

Oh please do tell us your stories... without the sailor talk. :) If your stories would show God's love and mercy then that is the best reason.

Thanks for sharing and for praying about it, and thanks to Kat for asking. God really does work in mysterious ways doesn't He? :)

I'm sure you have noticed that I'm a person with many questions. What is the requirement for getting a medal for good conduct? Just curious. :)

Now you should label these posts "medals" and put a link to that label in your sidebar so that when they disappear off this page, other inquiring minds can just click the link and find them.

Thanks again. You should be proud. We all are.

Edie, a good Conduct Medal requires 4 years of Honorable service. No Courts martials, No Non-Judicial Punishment, No verbal reprimands, No infractions of the rules, All Inspections passed satisfactorily with a written recommendation endorsing advancement in rank and no fitness report score lower than 3.0 on a 1-4 scale. That was then. The rules may have changed since. But I haven't followed it.
See I was afraid this might deteriorate into a "ME" thing...

Wow. I don't know what to say other than "Thank You".

Thank you so much.
I truly admire you.

It hasn't deteriorated.

I did have my husband come over and look at your medals/ribbons. He said to tell you thank you from him for serving our country too.
