SEA POWER

Today I want to share some pictures of what the Navy is doing with your tax dollars.

the next prototype Navy fighter jet, on board the launch way of the USS George Washington.

LT KARA WADE, US NAVY TEST PILOT
IN THE COCKPIT.
 \\\\\\\\\\>
for the first time in over 20 years, the aircraft carrier strike groups assembled for a photo op! The three carriers in this picture, from top to bottom, USS Abraham Lincoln USS Kitty Hawk, and the USS Ronald Reagan.

YOU HAVE NO IDEA, AND I HAVE NO WORDS TO EXPRESS, HOW MUCH I MISS THIS STUFF.

And last but not least, the USS New York City. The forecastle and bow of the ship was forged from steel that was salvaged from Ground Zero at the World Trade Center. The ships motto is
"We Shall Never Forget."

the traditional Navy salutation is

FAIR WINDS and FOLLOWING SEAS.

Talk about Shock and Awe. Love that the USS New York City was made from the wreckage.. kinda says it all, doesn't it? Knock us down, we will be stronger.

Wishing you more fair winds and following seas, KW.

Oh my gosh Kurt - those are FANTASTIC!!! I love air carriers - when I was at Pearl Harbor my son and I used to go every single day to the naval base and just walk and look up... and up some more... and up some more! Crazy impressive - in a formidable way!!!

The USS New York City is AWESOME!!!

Sometime I'll have to tell you about My USS Lake Eerie experience... hee-hee
