My life has been one continuous learning experience. Back to back to back... one right after another. Maybe you can learn from my experiences and mistakes. Or not..
In all the years that I have owned firearms, I've never have had to use one in self defense, but there have been times that I am glad that I had one with me.
As a bumper sticker I saw a while back read, "Ted Kennedy's Car has killed more people than my guns."
I know a man that uses a BB pistol to shoot the stray cats in his backyard that chases his birds. At first - I was slightly traumatized, a little horrified... thought about hiding the bb pellet things from him. Poor little kitty cats.
Then my cat - MY cat - my sweet, 20 lb cuddle bug of a cat... brought a bird in and laid it at my feet. In my living room.
I, in that very moment (and a few after) wished for the bb gun thing. And the owner's manual 'cause I don't know how to shoot a gun.
I have a shot gun in my closet - but a few years ago I hid the shells... still haven't found 'em. Still don't know how to shoot the gun. I have found that pasture neighbors run really fast with guns in hand when I scream.
Don't just sit there! Say something... No se limite a sentarse allí! Di algo ... Ne pas rester là! Dis quelque chose ... Nicht nur sitzen! Sagen Sie etwas ...
To me, 'gun control' means to use both hands.
