WHEN A WARRIOR COMES HOME

 DAY 15...
OSAMA BIN LADEN IS STILL DEAD

WHEN A WARRIOR COMES HOME
HE MIGHT NOT UNDERSTAND PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT BOREDOM

OR KEEP A STRAIGHT FACE WHEN PEOPLE BITCH ABOUT POT-HOLES

THEY MIGHT NOT BE SO TOLERANT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT HOW HARD IT IS TO GET READY FOR WORK IN THE MORNING

THEY MIGHT THINK YOU'RE SILLY WHEN YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT A BAD NIGHT'S SLEEP

THEY MIGHT HAVE SOME WORDS OF DISDAIN FOR PEOPLE WHO PRAY TO GOD FOR A NEW CAR

THEY MIGHT PANIC A LITTLE WHEN YOU TELL THEM TO DRIVE SLOWER

THEY WON'T UNDERSTAND A COMPLAINT ABOUT COACH OR BUSINESS CLASS TRAVEL

THEY'RE LIKELY TO WALK AWAY LAUGHING WHEN THE NEIGHBOR EXPRESSES FEAR OVER SENDING THEIR KIDS TO SUMMER CAMP

THEY MIGHT RIDICULE PEOPLE WHO COMPLAIN ABOUT HOT WEATHER

YOU'LL GET NO SYMPATHY WHEN YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT COLD COFFEE

THEY MIGHT NOT STAY CALM WHEN THE KIDS COMPLAIN ABOUT HAVING TO WALK THE DOG

THEY WON'T BE PATIENT WITH PEOPLE WHO BITCH ABOUT THEIR JOBS

ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT ONLY HAVING 2 WEEKS OF VACATION

THEY'LL HAVE NO SYMPATHY OR COMPASSION WHEN PEOPLE COMMENT ON HOW DIFFICULT IT IS WITH NEW BABY IN THE HOUSE

SOMETIMES WHEN A WARRIOR COMES HOME THEY WON'T HEAR ANY FUCKING THING YOU SAY...

AND JUST SO YOU KNOW:
YOUR THANKS IS NEVER REQUIRED.
BUT!
IT'S ALWAYS APPRECIATED.

  2. Yes, Kurt... it IS about keeping everything in perspective.

I was running errands a few hours ago... passed one of the local funeral homes... and there were American flags all over the place... along with some of the motorcycle riders that have been attending the funerals of soldiers killed in action.

My first thoughts were, 'WHAT DID I MISS? WAS THERE A LOCAL SOLDIER THAT WAS KILLED IN ACTION?"

I cancelled my plans for that time, came back home and looked up the obituary online...

It seems that the funeral was being held for a 92 year old Chinese American... that came to the States when he was only 13... and went on to become a member of 'The Flying Tigers 14th Air Service Support Group!'

I regretted that I didn't have time to change clothes and attend that service.

May God Bless Mr. Steve Wee Len Wong...

  3. But do you ever think about how many men are killed being deployed to wars by a corrupt admin that they should never have been apart of? THAT, to me, is the biggest tragedy.

That's not a criticism , I'd really like to hear your thoughts on that Kurt. :)

Don't just sit there! Say something...
No se limite a sentarse allí! Di algo ...
Ne pas rester là! Dis quelque chose ...
Nicht nur sitzen! Sagen Sie etwas ...
